Frequently asked questions
We want you to have all the information before your treatment. If you cannot find the answer, ask the online assistant in the bottom right corner or give us a call.
How can I book an appointment?
Online through our booking page (the "Book appointment" button), by phone on +36-1-201-69-48 or +36-30-637-3759, or in person at the reception.
When is the clinic open?
Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 8 pm. The consulting hours of each doctor and therapist are listed by name on the Our team page.
Where is the clinic and how do I get there?
1027 Budapest, Margit krt. 50-52, ground floor, door 9 (doorbell 11). By tram or bus, get off at Mechwart liget. By car, you can park on Erőd utca or Szász Károly utca — the two streets surround the building.
How much is the first medical examination?
The first medical examination (30 minutes) is 36,000 HUF, a follow-up examination is 24,000 HUF. The fee covers recording your medical history, the physical examination, organising the necessary tests and the therapy plan. Prices include VAT; see the full price list on the Prices page.
When do I pay the first-visit fee again?
The first-visit fee is charged per specialty (e.g. rheumatology, cardiology), and again if more than 6 months have passed between two medical examinations. Procedures performed during an examination are charged on top of the consultation fee.
How can I pay?
In cash or by bank card, at the reception.
Do you accept health fund cards?
Yes, we have contracts with several health funds (see the Health funds page). Please tell the reception in advance if you want to use your membership. If your fund is not on the list, write to us and we will start the contracting process.
What if I cannot make my booked appointment?
Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. For cancellations within 24 hours, the cost of the service is charged to the patient. For pre-booked treatments, we ask for one session to be paid in advance.
Do I need a medical examination before physiotherapy?
We recommend a medical examination first, but it is not a requirement. Physiotherapy always starts with a physiotherapeutic assessment.
What should I bring to the treatment?
Wear a T-shirt, shorts or possibly a swimsuit; sports shoes are not needed. There is a changing room and a shower — please bring your own towel.
Do you offer physiotherapy passes?
Yes, 5, 10 and 20-session physiotherapy passes, and passes for manual therapy, medical massage and BEMER therapy too. A 5-session physiotherapy pass is valid for 2 months, a 10-session pass for 4 months.
Can I get an urgent appointment?
Yes. For acute complaints we offer urgent appointments for an urgency fee (17,000 HUF). Please call us to arrange it.
Is blood sampling and ECG available on site?
Yes. Blood is taken at the clinic at a pre-agreed time, and results are available from the next day. ECG, heart ultrasound and stress tests are also available.
What is Spineliner treatment?
A computer-controlled diagnostic and therapeutic device that analyses the spine and the musculoskeletal system and treats it with gentle mechanical impulses. At our clinic it is performed by Dr. Márta Megyaszai.
Can I take part in a clinical trial?
For several diseases, new and highly modern therapeutic options are available. Ask our doctors which conditions they currently cover and under what terms.
Who can I turn to with a patient-rights question?
The patient advocate is Ivonyné Dr. Julianna Munk (Szent János Hospital, 1125 Budapest, Diósárok út 1.), Tuesdays from 6 pm. E-mail: julianna.munk@ijsz.bm.gov.hu, phone: +36 20 489 9520.
